The brand registered in China is the only recognized trademark in China. China doesn’t recognize the brand registered in any other countries. Thus, our beer brands from Belgium have to register in China, including the Chinese brand name we used for the original brands. The earlier you act the less trouble you get. The trademark not only protects your brand, but also is useful when your beer is ready to enter a supermarket or major E-commerce platforms like JD, and T-mall, and Taobao is exceptional. The supplier of a supermarket or major E-commerce platform need to get some paper ready: the trademark or the trademark authorization letter from the brewery if the supplier is not the trademark owner. Here below are some brands registration of breweries we assisted:
Killer
In 2017, the brand photo dog head is registered, but barely used.
Meanwhile, we tried to registered the Chinese brand name “Shashou”, which is literal translated of the word “killer”. But it failed to issue at the end as the word “killer” in Chinese is sensitive as explained.
As a back-up brand registration, in 2017 we also registered “Lieshou”, meaning “hunter” in Chinese, which is close to “killer”. It’s being used in 2019, when killer beer was entering more to supermarket and major E-commerce platforms.
